The difference
Don't build a beautiful mistake.
Construction costs have risen sharply in the past few years, and house prices are harder to predict. If a build costs more than it adds to your home's value, you lose money. Most architects focus on planning and Building Regulations, and leave cost to someone else. At DZP Studio, we look at both. It starts with our report and a free call. If your project is worth doing, we see it through with you.
Can you build it?
Planning applications, lawful development certificates, appeals, and signing off planning conditions. We check the rules for your street and what your neighbours have been allowed, and we know what local authorities will say yes to.
Is it worth it?
What your home could be worth once the work is done, an early guide to what the build might cost, and whether the difference looks worth it. Firm prices come from builders' quotes, and we help you get them. For developers, we test layouts that get the most value from a site and help you see how the numbers stack up.
From first sketch to moving in
Once you know it's worth doing, we take it from there: the design, the planning and Building Regulations applications, the drawings your builder prices from, help choosing a builder, and site visits at key stages until you move in. One point of contact from start to finish (RIBA Stages 1–7).
The practice

Every design is led by our director, a RIBA chartered architect and BREEAM Advisory Professional. Behind every project is a large, trusted team we bring in and manage as your project needs: structural engineers, surveyors, planning consultants, heritage, highways and tree specialists, ecologists and builders. Depending on the complexity of the project, even the planning stage could require half a dozen of them. We coordinate them all, so you deal with one practice and one person only.
